  • I have 3 slideshows with a few images in each. I would like to be able to move an image to a different slide show. Tried copy, but unable to paste.
    1. I had a go at this myself when I saw your post Gordon. I think you are correct that Copy and Paste don't work. I think you are stuck with either going back to the original or saving the image out of Proclaim and reimporting.
    2. There are two ways to accomplish this, . First Way: Use the Reuse function. Make sure that you know the name of the item in the order of service, the column on the left of your presentation (in my screenshot I am using Offering 1 Chron 29:14). Open the slideshow you want to move it to, then click Add Item>Reuse Item and then type the name of the item into the box. Every instance of that service item will populate the window (2nd screenshot). Second Way: Open the presentation that you want to move the image to. Add a Content item (Add Item>Content) Click Background>Browse Media. In the Popup search for your image. If you uploaded it, it will help to click the Group Upload.
    3. Thanks Steven
  • Hello, we are a church that has integrated services with English and Spanish speakers. Is anyone aware of a way to display both an English version AND a Spanish version of Scripture. I know we could alternate between English and Spanish, however, where we might display 4-5 verses it would be confusing to go back and forth or to show all English verses then all Spanish verses.
    1. Greetings AGF Our developers don't make this easy. The only way I can think to do this is to use a 'Bible Item for one language and then add a series of text boxes to accommodate the other. In the illustration below I have used a different English text but hope you get the principle.
    2. Thank you for this suggestion. I will try it out.
  • We use Proclaim and OBS and I output Proclaim via a custom virtual NDI display. We've been doing that for almost 4 years and it has worked well. The issue we are encountering is intermittently there is quite a lag in the slides. I have not been able to determine a cause and it is not consistent. One Sunday it will be pretty responsive and then the next it will be rather laggy (~2 seconds). It makes it a bit difficult to transition slides for hymn lyrics and scripture readings correctly when it is so laggy. Some background - we only use one machine that is a reasonably powerful machine with a new graphics card (Radeon RX6600), with 32 gig of RAM and 12 cores. Running NDI 5.x. While running the service (and recording) the CPU is always less than 20% so it does not appear to be overloaded in any way. The way we trigger the slides is using the Proclaim remote API running locally. We trigger the slide change using this command to that API: http://localhost:52195/appCommand/perform?appCommandName=NextSlide My reason for posting is to see if anyone has ideas or suggestions on what to look at to figure out the cause of this intermittent lagginess. It isn't terrible, but I'd love to know why it is so inconsistent in how it works. We shut down the machine each week, so it starts from a clean boot every week. Thanks for any ideas you can contribute.
    1. Rob, one thought is software updates. If you shut the machines down and then turn them back on when you're getting ready, the software update feature will check for updates and if you're on auto, it'll run the updates. If the updates are small, you probably don't notice, but it there are more/larger updates, then it has the potential to cause system resources to be used for that. We don't shut ours down, just log out. That way the system will run updates as they come and during the evening/off hours, so when we come in to use everything is taken care of. This would be my first thought.
    2. Thanks, Bryan - that is a good idea, however I don't think it was the cause for sure last Sunday - I try not to do updates until after the service and I didn't see any updates occurring last week. This issue has been intermittent but more frequent lately. We upgraded the video card on the computer (it had a pretty old card) several months ago due to videos not playing correctly via NDI - it was maxing out the system since it didn't have much in the way of GPU to use. The new video card fixed the video playback issue but this slide issue continues to happen intermittently. One thing I thought of while posting this - We used to use a streamdeck with the Proclaim plugin - we recently migrated to TouchPortal which uses the Proclaim local API - if I see the issue next week, I think I will try the streamdeck to see if it is laggy too.
  • We are a small church with only one musician, we depend on music videos for music worship we have used either powerpoint or Haiku deck in the past, with these two we are able to add YouTube videos. I am finding it very difficult to play YouTube videos on proclaim. I have a ccliPlus # and a cclvi#. Is there something I am missing? I go to add media, web page, add the link. Some videos do get added and some don't, but the ones that don't I am able to add on other presentation platforms. Thank you.
    1. My guess is that Haiku Deck and Microsoft aren't as concerned with the use of copyrighted material as Faithlife is :-/ . . . YouTube is less and less allowing the embedding of YouTube videos. This is usually due to the creator's settings, but YouTube's Terms of Service also gives YouTube certain rights to videos that are uploaded. Your best bet would be to contact the creators of videos and see if they will allow you to have a copy for your services. Many will recommend a video downloader (I have in the past as well), I am trying to create my own content (lyric videos) using multitracks so that we can stay above board. The CCLI licensing applies to the replay and or streaming of the content. A time may come that all YouTube videos will cease to play as a Web Page Item.
  • I can no longer rearrange pictures in an image slideshow once the slides are uploaded. Is there a bug or something? I used to be able to do this by dragging and dropping the pictures
    1. That does sound like a bug, . Check to be sure Proclaim is up to date. If it is I would recommend sending log files to the devs.
  • I have 2 proclaim accounts for 2 different churches. Today I am unable to log out of proclaim and switch to my other church. Proclaim shuts down when I try to sign out. I have checked for updates and the system is up to date according to Proclaim. I tried closing Proclaim altogether and a full restart of my computer. I am using a Mac. None of those steps corrected the problem.
    1. Hi Tim, thanks for the report. It sounds like you're not completely locked out of Proclaim. If that's the case, please submit logs from the Help menu in Proclaim (being logged in as the wrong user won't matter). If you can't get into Proclaim at all, you can grab log files and email them to our support team. We'll take a look and see what's up. https://support.proclaim.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/19864624502285-How-Do-I-Submit-Log-Files#submit-log-files-if-you-cant-open-proclaim

    2. Thank you very much for your help.
  • So, I need some help. Currently, we use OBS to live stream. I use advanced switcher to automatically turn on my live stream 15 minutes before service. Sunday we didn’t have service due to Mother’s Day, but OBS didn’t know that (ha!) and went live, unbeknowst to me. We live streamed an empty sanctuary for over 12 hours. I have figured out how to use midi over rtmp and send midi signals from proclaim on a pc to my mac (if you aren’t using advanced scene switcher, it works BETTER than OBS-MIDI-MG). Is there anyway in proclaim to send a midi signal at the 15 minute mark to tell obs to go live? Often times, our sound tech isn’t there until 10 minutes, or has just forgotten to hit the “start streaming” button in OBS. Ideas?
    1. While that is a workable solution, , the only issue is that we have roughly 10-15 slides, at a 15 second interval, that repeat until the service begins. I’d have to have multiples of each of those slides in the warm up, which would make things really ugly looking. It may be, however, the only workable solution. To bad there’s not a pre-warm up!
    2.  — Edited

The Pre-warm-up might work! How about adding an If statement to your Stream Macro. Like the one in my screenshot - - If NDI source is active - - That way, if Proclaim is sending an active signal it will continue to the begin streaming 15 minutes prior to service macro. I used Advanced Scene Switcher to fix one of my biggest problems, and it could also work for your situation. In my case I have been wanting a better way to keep our first service from tripping the Start Streaming cue. I used If Date -- You can set a day of the week, I chose Sunday, and a time, I chose to set it that if it is Sunday after 10:00 AM. Next is an And receives MIDI Note from LoopBe. (second screenshot). Then Start Streaming. So, you could place the MIDI cue into your Pre-Service (several times if you'd like), then set up your macro like so (I am going with a 10:30 start time, since I don't know what time your service starts): IF after 10:15 AM on Sunday AND the MIDI note THEN start streaming It will ignore the MIDI note until it is after 10:15 AM then, when it accept the MIDI note and it will pass on to Start Streaming. I've been thinking a lot about AND Gates (transistors) because I will be teaching on Romans 10:8-9 on the 26th. Romans 10:9 is a classic AND statement: Confess with your mouth AND Believe in your heart THEN You will be saved It isn't the only one, John 15:5 Abide in Me AND I abide in you THEN you will bear much fruit. Matthew 6:33 Seek first the Kingdom of God AND His righteousness THEN All these things ... Probably preaching to the choir here, but it has been much in my thoughts and prayers. Hope the macro can get it done for you.
    3. I think you may be on to something. With what you are suggesting, the macro replies on two things: it being Sunday at x time AND getting the midi signal (and thereby proclaim being on air. If it doesn’t have both of those, then the macro won’t run and it won’t start a stream on accident. I’ll give it a shot and keep you posted!
  • We've got a BMD Decklink Duo running our main displays, confidence, and stream graphics (alpha keyed). We've been running into an issue (as far as I can tell without consistent timing for when it crops up) where the outputs just... don't show up where they should. If I go into Display settings and down to outputs, I can click on the settings, switch from 1080p30 to 1080p60, save it (and it brings up an out of range display), switch it back to 30FPS and save it, and then it works. Most commonly it's the main output, but this morning I fired everything up and all 3 destinations were having the same issue. I'd like to get to the bottom of what's happening and have reliable, stable system. Switching the resolutions within Proclaim seems to be the only effective fix I've found- any ideas?
    1.  — Edited

Perhaps your equipment cannot handle 1080p60. I've a project for 篠田乃室 Shinoda Hall, 胡桃河町日系油童教會 of Walnut Creek (CA, USA), a member Congregation o' the 東宣北米神聖教會 OMS (viz., Oriental Missionary Society) Holiness Church of North America, a Wesleyan conference offshot from majority Methodism (and the child conference of 東洋宣教會 Oriental Missionary Church, a society founded 1902 at 大日本帝國東京市 ᴛōᴋʏōꜱɪ (now 日本国東京都 ᴛōᴋʏōᴛᴏ), JPN). I've shortlisted parts for a SERIOUS Workstation: a rackmount case TBD; ASUS® Pro™ WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard (FCLGA 4677); NOCTUA® NH-U12S DX-4677 crossdraft fansink over an intel® PK8071305081800 (XEON® W-3455 E5) MPU; Kingston® KF548R36RBK8-256 RDIMM set; ASUS® TURBO-RTX3080TI-16G VDA (nVIDIA® GA102 Ampére GPU, 16 GiB GDDR6X VRAM) (I cannot rule out the memory modules requiring their own fansinks — I REALLY wanted downdraft fansinks, but only crossdrafts were available for the MPU); ASUS® BW-16D1HT optical drive (SONY® blu-ray® compatible); two intel® SSDPEKNW010T9 and one SAMSUNG® MZ-V9P2TO M.2-22110 SSD's, each under its own fansink; and one ASUS® PiKE™ II 3108-8I/16PD/2G SAS adapter driving a number TBD of Western Digital® WD2006FYYZ HDDs. Have to potentially rule out the LEPA® P1720-M-EU PSU, which doesn't support ATX 3.0.
    2. The lack of 1080p60 isn't the issue, it's that we lose the 1080p30 until we jog it by switching away and the back to it.
  • I often teach from Logos Sermon Builder directly by sharing my screen. I have found that people enjoy seeing the notes and it has flowed very well as we go through a teaching allowing me to interact as I teach with others directly with the software too. Is there a way in proclaim to share an application or screen and record it just like having a slide up?
    1. questions: are you importing you sermon into proclaim? proclaim will record the audio for you. I do not believe it does video. I’d integrate OBS for that piece.
